Mine's not an SB600 but a Nissin Di622 and it's a Lambency Diffuser... china made copy of GaryFoong's .. BWAHAHAHHA. one thing I don't like about my kit lens is it sucks when it comes to focusing in extreme low lights. As you can see in some of this pictures, not sharp at all. :(

What lens were u using? My stock 18-55mm only starts hunting if I turn off the AF-assist strobe light.

On the other hand, my 70-300mm Nikkors are REALLY bad. The autofocus can be hit and miss sometimes. Even in broad daylight, it's slow and noisy. Cheap lens lah, what to do.

I'm only using a Kit lens ... 18-55 on my 350D ... I rarely uses the built-in flash so I never had that problem, if I can't focus, i just give a quite flick and turn off the AF and switch to Manual focus... it's easy mah...

I supposed you're using a Nikon which in a way, has problems in low light conditions. If crank up the ISO, problem with NOISE will appear... but if you can, go invest in the upcoming D300 or the D3 ... beautiful with barely visible noise even at ISO3200

Aiyahh... itu semua cari makan punya DSLR, my kung-fu not strong enough to justify splurging out on such equipment. My entry-level D50 is enough la. Yeah, noise at higher ISOs is a bit of a prob sometimes... but for a suka-suka newbie like me, I don't really care ler. There's a noise reduction function in the menu though, but the processing time causes significant lag after the shot is taken.

My office's D80 is quite nice, though. It got a few cogs whirring in my head... but... naaaah... I'd rather get a flash and a faster lens than swap bodies.
